Lantern Festival
元宵节，又称上元节、元夜、灯节， 是中国的传统节日， 每年农历的正月十五日便是此节。按中国民间的传统，在这天上皓月高悬的夜晚，人们要点起彩灯万盏，以示庆贺。
The Lantern Festival is also called the 'Shangyuan Festival' or 'Yuan night'. The lantern Festival is traditional Chinese Festival on the 15th of the first month annually in the lunar calendar of China. According to Chinese folk, on this day people will keep lighting on to celebrate.

祭祀是向神灵求福消灾的传统礼俗仪式，被称为吉礼，也意为敬神、求神和祭拜祖先，是根据宗教或者社会习俗的要求进行的具有象征意义的一系列行动或仪式。
Sacrifice is intended as worship to God and ancestors. It is held based on religious or social customs requirements of a series of symbolic actions or rituals.

Sweet dumpling
元宵是用糯米粉等原料做成的圆形食品，正月十五北方吃元宵，南方吃汤圆。“元宵”作为食品，在中国由来已久。宋代，民间即流行一种元宵节吃的新奇食品。这种食品，最早叫“浮元子”后称“元宵” ，生意人还美其名曰“元宝” 。
Sweet Dumpling is made of glutinous rice power. People have the custom of eating lantern in Lantern Festival.

Sesame seed 
.芝麻种子扁圆，有白、黄、棕红或黑色，食用以白芝麻为好，补益药用则以黑芝麻为佳。芝麻既可食用又可作为油料。
There are three kinds of color of sesame seed, white, yellow, reddish brown and black. White seeds are good for making food while the black seed is healthy for people body. Sesame seed is eatable and can be used as oil plants.

A folk dance
跑旱船，是我国许多地区都盛行的一种民间歌舞形式。演出形式大同小异。女子双手持竹木制作的船形道具，艄公持橹在旁做划船状，边行边舞。似行于水上。辅之以乐人伴奏，表演诙谐，人见人爱。
A folk dance is popular as a kind of folk dances in many areas of China. The form of folk dance performance is much the same. Woman's hands holding the boat-shaped thing made of bamboo, while helmsman is waving the scull like rowing in the side of boat.

Walk on stilts 
踩高跷俗称缚柴脚，亦称“踏高跷”、“扎高脚”。乃民间节日在广场表演的一种舞蹈形式。清代以来称为"高跷"，用1至3尺长的条木制成，上有木托。表演的人将双脚分别绑在木棍上，化装成各种人物，一人或多人来往逗舞，由唢呐伴奏，表演有趣的动作或故事。技艺性强，形式活泼多样，由于演员踩跷比一般人高，便于远近观赏，而且流动方便无异于活动舞台。
Walking on stilts is commonly known as a kind of dance performed during festivals among the people. It has been called 'Gaoqiao' since the Qing Dynasty. The 'Gaoqiao' is made of wood with 1-3 feet long and has wood care on it. The performer made up and tied their feet onto the wooden sticks to perform funny stories as a dance with Suona playing.

Yangko Dance
扭秧歌（又称秧歌）是汉族具有代表性的一种民间舞蹈形式。主要流行于我国北方地区。但因流传地区不同，又有陕北秧歌、晋北秧歌、东北秧歌、河北秧歌、山东胶州秧歌和鼓子秧歌等。
Yangko dance is a representative folk dance of Han ethnic Group.

Guess the riddles
“猜灯谜”又叫“打灯谜”，是我国独有的富有民族风格的一种文娱形式，是从古代就开始流传的元宵节特色活动。每逢农历正月十五，各家各户都要挂起彩灯，燃放焰火，后来有好事者把谜语写在纸条上，贴在五光十色的彩灯上供人猜。因为谜语能启迪智慧又迎合节日气氛，所以响应的人众多，而后猜谜逐渐成为元宵节不可缺少的节目。
Guess the riddles is also known as playing the riddles. It is the unique entertainment style which is spread and popular from ancient with rich ethnic customs of China. On the Lunar 15th January, each family hung the colorful lights and playing fireworks. And then, people wrote the riddles on a piece of paper and attached them to the colorful lantern offer people to guess. Because of the riddles entertained people so much and matching the festival atmosphere, the riddles were very popular and become an indispensable program of Lantern Festival as time goes by.
